Dr. Alan Christianson

Dr. Christianson studied Philosophy and Religious Studies at UND in North Dakota. He completed premedical sciences at Normandale in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also attended Nurse's training in Bemidji Minnesota. Dr. Christianson was a member of the first class of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine - the third school in the nation to combine Western and traditional medicine. He was educated in primary care medicine along with nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, spinal manipulation, hypnosis and IV therapies. These skills are combined into an eclectic approach.

Dr. Christianson is currently licensed as a Naturopathic Medical Doctor with the State of Arizona. This gives privileges for natural medicine, prescribing medications, surgical procedures, laboratory testing and diagnosis.

Dr. Christianson went on to do postdoctoral studies in Ayurvedic Medicine with the American Institute of Vedic Studies in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has also done work in the fields of Anti-Aging Medicine, Integrative Oncology, Mind/Body Medicine, Neurotherapy, Prolotherapy and Sports Medicine. Raised primarily in rural Northern Minnesota, Dr. Christianson was fascinated with plants, science and healing from an early age. He currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife and family, where he is able to study and utilize plants indigenous to the Sonoran desert.
