Using the Enneagram as a Management Tool

The Enneagram can be a powerful tool for transforming leadership and supporting change in the business community. As the management paradigms shift from control to relationship, management practices must move from autocratic to team-based. These shifts demand that leaders change personal style to allow empowerment of others. Learning the Enneagram affects how leaders perceive situations. They become more free from the bias of their style and make more effective decisions that support change.

It is important to use the Enneagram in a context that supports the growth of each individual. while patterns of personality are predictable, our essential Self is unique and cannot be reduced to a number. Studying this system helps us to understand how our personality narrows our perspective and choices. The intent is to free ourselves from those patterns that no longer serve us and develop our compassion and skills to work with others.
