Oppose Mandatory Anthraw Vaccines

For all of those who oppose Mandatory Anthrax Vaccines for our military:

We are gaining momentum across America, let me introduce myself, I am the proud mother of a young Marine. Being in the upper poverty level of society I urged my son to join ... not that it took much urging, he has worn camouflage since he was 4 or so years old. I made a complete camo-ammo vest, poncho, and field hat for his 8th Christmas. His uncle who worked for the company that created the Teddy Bed ( a net that hangs in the corner and holds stuffed animals) made a protto type camo-net for both of my boys. When my son outgrew his camo-fatigues, his teddybears wore them, and packed away they still do. In the first year and a half I seen my son go from a little boy to an impressive, strong, fit, proud young man.

My eyes fill with tears each time I remember the day I greeted him as he graduated from boot camp. I felt nothing could be better than this. My son has been the joy of my life, honest, clean, and he meant it when he talked to you of codes of conduct, and many other things he learned about honor and loyalty. While he was away he also found a wonderful girl he will marry June 10th, of this year. Now he is into number 4 of the 6 Anthrax shots required by our government. He had heard rumors and asked me if I could do some research, I said sure, no problem. Mostly to ease his mind, feeling I would find that it was just a scare. I was STUNNED, and I continue to become even more so the more I learn.

When I shared with my son what I had learned, he shared with me why he asked.

1) Immediately he felt the same things as most do. Numbness, burning, tingling through out his arms and legs. He felt hot all over and felt dizzy and very tired for 3 or so days. One vaccine was worst than the rest and he said it felt like hot matches were being touched to his skin.

2) about 2 and a half months after each vaccine, he has had testicular pain so bad sitting for any length of time sends him into orbit. He has been to the Military Dr. 3 times and they have put him through some very painful tests, testing for sexually transmitted diseases and/or bladder and kidney problems. To date no reason has been found as to why he is in so much pain. Intercourse is all but impossible due to the pain. He is so afraid of becoming sterile. The only thing he wanted more than being in the military was to have children.

3) on occasion he has what he termed a hot flash. My first thought was, no problem he is probably developing hormones, until he described them to me. He turns red from the shoulders up, and his skin literally burns like a very bad sunburn. Staying that way from one to three days.

4) he has developed several cysts on his arm the size of a pea, and now he is beginning to develop them on his thigh the size of a nickel.

5) he is exhausted all of the time. My God he is only 21 and has barely the energy to get through a day.

6) he has developed rashes over most of his body recently.

7) his short term memory is so bad that it is becoming a joke in his company. He forgets things like the name of a Seabag, those in the military know a soldier would know his equipment even in his sleep.

8) after his 4th shot, he has become nauseous most of the time, diarrhea, stomach cramps and lack of appetite. This boy fought poverty, a drug addicted father, stayed drug free in a high school where there were many days he spent alone because he refused to use them, and extreme shyness to become one of the people in this world that make you feel good just being around him.

As a mother of a marine who is very ill from Anthrax Vaccine, I say every one needs to take a closer look at the AVIP program before they mark their ballots this coming election. I wholeheartedly agree with Representative Lling Brewer and what he has proposed, and so do hundreds of others I have come to know since I began this fight!

Michigan State Representative Lling Brewer is introducing a Resolution into the Michigan Legislature which calls for Congress to do the following:

1.Initiate a criminal investigation of Bioport for diversion of funds and violating federal bid-rigging statutes

2. Make the shots voluntary until safety and efficacy questions are answered

3. Suspend court martials of military personnel until all adverse reaction questions have been answered

4. Pay no more tax dollars to Bioport until these questions are answered and the FDA grants their high tech facility approval.

If you are unsure how you stand on this issue or need more information to make a wise decision Anthrax Vaccine Risks Major Sonnie Bates , The James Madison Project- Important Links , Classen Immunotherapies - these a just a few of the areas you will find information that should at least spark your interest... and then consider this: The walls are already beginning to crumble with the DOD and it's forced Vaccine issue, now would be the time-while the information is pouring in from all sources about the injustices to our military men and women past and present-to let the public know what is happening and why.

What I have proposed is a handful of people, in their own city or town, to deliver one message, for one day May22nd 2000 , repeated all across America, together making one powerful statement to our government. If for one day we could transcend boundaries with a major protest of the Anthrax Vaccine, all across our great country we might just be able to open America's eyes long enough to see that the Gulf War Illnesses are still alive and well and forcefully being shot into the veins of our present military.

I know this is a simplistic view, but what we need now is simplicity to enable all of the different groups to come together for one day. With all of the events happening the week before, during, and after Memorial Day, and all of the groups involved I have no doubt that we can and will make a difference. The public can't help, if the public doesn't know. Very soon there will be a protest checklist, media info, and helpful suggestions, for those who wish to participate. if "you" and could deliver in for repeat it across ONE MESSAGE, ONE CITY, ONE DAY AMERICA "we" could make ONE POWERFUL STATEMENT to our government!

The above has been my proposal, I have written every web site, every personal web page, every e-group, every friend and neighbor in my effort to make noise, recently my efforts were joined by Colonel Handy and Major Bates, under the umbrella of the NO ABUSE name. There have been many volunteers to be part of this effort, Gulf War Vets, Mothers, Vaccine opponents, the list goes on. As a member of Anthrax No, I have personally witnessed dozens of letters of military families destroyed by the decision to refuse, and/or by the illness it has brought to them. When the military starts to loose it's Dr.s, nurses, top brass, something is very wrong. thank you in advance
