Dear Friend,
Q: Name the industry that, when it comes to power, lack of accountability, arrogance and the making of money in the name of sacred constitutional rights, actually makes lawyers look good....
A: Media. It would be hilarious if it weren't so true... The fact is, it's time we told the media, "Enough!" It's time to hold journalists accountable, it's time we embarrass them into doing their jobs the way they're supposed to -- with integrity, honesty, fairness and accuracy.

I'm Steve Brill and that's why I've launched BRILL'S CONTENT, the new consumer guide for the information age. Six years ago I started COURT TV to "expose" the inner workings of the legal system. The good parts and the bad. What resulted was a renewed appreciation and respect for a system of justice which is the model for the world -- and a healthy, informed understanding of what needs to be fixed. I want BRILL'S CONTENT to do the same for journalism.

By exposing the bias, the imbalance, the inaccuracies, the untruths -- while praising those who get it right -- I hope to hold the media to strict new standards we can all benefit from. I want to tip the balance of power away from the increasingly arrogant and defensive media and put it back with those who use information, not those who manufacture it. If we fail -- if the media goes unchecked, unquestioned, and unscrutinized -- our very freedoms are at risk.

BRILL'S CONTENT is not about left vs. right, big vs. little, in's vs. out's. BRILL'S CONTENT is about right vs. wrong, truth vs. lies, facts vs. fiction. I hope you'll take a look at our Premiere Issue, and see if you'd like to be a part of what I'm sure will be a fascinating ride.
