The Magic of Findhorn: An eyewitness account by Paul Hawken

"It seemed that Findhorn was a mutation, that the whole of the community was an organism that had sprung to life on the planet against many odds. Like some primitive specifics that arose out of the primeval ocean billions of years ago, Findhorn represented an emergent aspect of the evolution of consciousness on the planet. Far away from the cities, the pollution, the strange vibrations and cultural forms of civilization, desolate in a way, Findhorn was located where the air, water and land were pure. I knew that we had not decided anything, nor created anything, but had co-created it, seeing with clarity the vision that existed there, and acting as one of the emergent organism to bring it to life and fruition.

The Devic world emphasized that man has to do one thing in order to reverse the trend of events on the planet: he has to recognize within himself the Divinity and wholeness of which he is a part. He must touch that core which perceives itself as part of all things, all beings, and all aspects of creation. In that recognition and touching, the distinction between the outer and inner is erased and vanishes. "
